If you don't have a car, there is a bus that goes from La Mata directly to the centre of Torrevieja to enjoy a small town with a port. La Mata is characterised mainly by the fact that it is not so crowded and everything is still more original in Spanish style. Above all, it is the beautiful beach that attracts many people here. The weekly market is on Wednesday and also nearby.
